SPOKANE, WA / 21 FEB 2024 / — Jonathan Bingle, 37, a lifelong resident of Spokane, Washington announces that he is running for United States Congress in Washington’s 5th District as a Republican.

Bingle states, “First and foremost, my wife, Christina, and I want to express our deep gratitude to Congresswoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers for her many years of steadfast service.”

“With the support of my family and friends, I am humbled to begin my campaign for congress.” Bingle continues, “The theme of my campaign is ‘An American Revival’ [image here] with purpose of:

  • Respecting our constitutional republic,

  • Restoring individual freedoms, and

  • Reviving the American Spirit through a return to our Judeo/Christian roots.

Summarizing, Bingle states, “Our country has provided freedom and opportunity for more people than any country in the history of the world.” In conclusion, “Our American Revival is about remembering why America is great and once again believing that it is good.”

Bingle’s “American Revival” campaign will hold events throughout the district which includes twelve Washington State counties in Eastern Washington ranging from the Canadian to Oregon borders.

Elected in 2021, Bingle serves as a Spokane City Council Member. Recent bipartisan legislative successes include new drug laws to significantly criminalize use and possession of drugs in public, reinstatement of penalties for trespassing in parks at night, and changing zoning laws to spur housing investment and development.

Bingle and his wife live in his lifelong community of Northeast Spokane. They are raising three young children. Jonathan and his wife have owned and operated a small business for fifteen years, providing event services that allow them to make friends with people from all walks of life throughout our region. A former Christian pastor, he and his family are active in their faith community.
